Historic Preservation: Detroit
Historic preservation is an important issue in the city of Detroit. Many historic buildings are knocked down without consideration of the value of the building to the city and its residents. Michigan Central Station, the Hudson’s building and old Tiger’s Stadium illustrate some of Detroit’s rich history that has been neglected or destroyed. The words on the posters make the viewer question what the city would be like if the buildings were still around and if someone or something could have been done to save them.
